  3. Let's get this German party going and start buying some tickets for the pool! Don't miss a chance to win entry and travel to this first class event and see how they do things in the old country! I was a lucky winner and got to see the Euro in Belgium - I can say it was one of the best experiences I've ever had involving Lambrettas! I'm confident the winner could also be sorted with a bike to ride for the weekend too - you only have the price of a drawing ticket to loose;) Info is already starting to surface: https://www.facebook.com/events/760682064054370/
  4. Didn't see one yet so I thought I'd start a thread for it. Who's going? Which nights? I'll be there for the whole main event Saturday for sure. More than likely will be able to do Thursday and Friday nights as well. http://atlantarally.com/
  5. I went to another rally here in Ireland this past weekend. This time it was the Thrill on the Hill rally, the 35th(!) annual rally hosted by the Carlow Jaguars Scooter Club. I don't have a scooter over here, so I had to drive down, but it was a fun time. This time I brought a bag and tent and camped out. They do things a bit differently over here, than in the US. Rallies here are basically just excuses to get together, listen to music, drink lots and lots of beer and catch-up with friends. No rides, no raffles, no themes. For dinner a chip-truck showed up and sold burgers and chips (fries). I don't know if it was the many, many pints of Carlsberg or not, but I had a wonderful veggie burger around midnight. Another thing to note is that everyone rides to rallies. I understand the scale involved, but I didn't see one scooter come in on a trailer. Another thing that I noticed was that lots, not everyone, but lots of the people there were actually English blokes who now live in Ireland. All in all a good time and I got to meet lots of new people. And I really miss having a bike. I may talk my wife into getting a PX200 while we're here (I know, but Lambrettas are super expensive here, and I don't have a garage nor tools that I'd need for a Lammy.). 7. hi everyone, I went down and paid a visit to a scooter rally here in Ireland this past weekend. The Carlow Scooter Club was holding their first rally and a friend of their's is a friend of mine.... so I drove down for a visit. I don't have my bikes here, they couldn't be shipped (but they are save in El Presidente Berry's hands), but now I'm missing them. It was a good turn-out for a first rally, around 75 scooters, and it seemed like everyone knew one another. There was even a club from England who rode over on holiday for the rally, the Northern Templars. My biggest impression was the average age of the crowd. They were in the older bracket, I may have been one of the younger ones and I'm almost 40. But they knew how to put on a good time. Here are some photos on my Flickr page, I don't know why they aren't getting linked here. https://www.flickr.com/photos/steve_valasek/sets/72157645015855797/
