  1. Hello Scooter Boys and Scooter Girls, I'm a guy in my late (ahem, ok, very late) 40s, who returned to scooter ownership a few years ago when I bought and restored an Li150. I was a Mod/Scooter enthusiast in the Bay Area scene in the mid-80s, and owned a number of scooters, including a DL 150, GS 160 , Rally 200, and P200E. "The Lamb" as I affectionately refer to her, is a sweet little thing, but the 50 pounds I've put on since my 20s, the speed of modern traffic, and the fact that I've been riding and racing Superbikes with 100+ horsepower at the rear wheel have made my little Lambretta a bit challenging to ride. I live in the Santa Cruz Mountains and in order to get in to Los Gatos or Santa Cruz I have to ride on Highway 17 for at least a couple miles, and that is a road where 50 MPH does not cut it. I'm in the process of building a Silver Special which will have a 190 kit in it, but in the mean time, I wanted to see if I could make some very mild performance upgrades to The Lamb which might give her enough go to make her usable for me and my requirements. I installed the following components: -Ancillotti Clubman exhaust -BGM high flow air filter -25mm Dellorto PHBL carb I have spent many hours trying to find the right jetting and whilst there is a ton of information about jetting for kitted engines, I've yet to find any for those such as mine, which is somewhat perplexing as I'd expect that many people would opt for an easy upgrade like an exhaust, carb, and air filter/air box. I am currently running an NGK B8 plug. Jetting is as follows. idle jet-50 main jet-138 needle-D28 clip in position 4 (bottom) The scooter runs ok, but not great. It won't pull once the throttle is more than about 75% of the way open, which leads me to believe it's too lean. The plug is way too clean (too lean) and I'd like more color on it. Does anyone have any first hand experience to share regarding what they're using on a similar configuration? Ciao! -tj in los gatos
