I am sure the locals can show you a great time- It's a wonderful place! We hosted one of our Jamborees out there.

Ride safe - and thank you for all this!

... have been working on the tattier and tattier GP225 West Coast Fucker. It's a warm, sunny Spring Saturday and I couldn't think of a better way to spend it. Ok, back out there.

Actually, I figured it out. They go inside the mudguard, hence the evident oval hole .

It is such a worthless statement.

It's like putting bar-end weight on your bike and calling it a "mod."

Do you mean when someone is selling a top end and they tout how much it's been ported and flowed?

Ported seems redundant, all the 2 stroke cylinders are ported (technically speaking). Posting port timings would be the most accurate but not many people would understand what it meant.

Flowed would be ok if it was actually measured on a flow bench and not just port matched.

What I really hate is "ATM machine"

Haha, while I agree on the meaninglessness of the terms....I assume it means that someone has touched the ports. Presumably someone who knew what they were doing (even sort of!).

I've seen a lot of 175 conversions, for example, that were sold with straight, untouched 150 porting. That would end up quite a bit down on power vs a stage 4 (almost equally as meaningless!)/"ported" barrel.

Posting timings would just get messy I think. I don't care much for "flowed" at all! I've been thinking about better ways to describe barrel changes for years....so far, I've got nothing.

Anybody on here from Missouri going to the Jamboree? Still up in the air if I can make it but want to bad, just curious who might be making the trek.

I've had full/comprehensive+collision coverage for five bikes with Progressive since before I had a car. Stated value on one of the Lambrettas. I've been with them for 12 years now and it's gotten pretty cheap over the years (under $200 for the five), but I've never had a claim so I don't know how that would go. I've been meaning to switch to Haggerty now that I have a car and switch to stated value on the rest of the bikes too but have been lazy.

If you noticed, I moved some of the forum categories around to eliminate some redundancy. Any posts in the missing forums were moved to the retained forums (members only jetting to technical advice jetting, etc).

I also moved the events section to public so anyone announcing a rally, ride or event gets the most exposure.

And now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Getting a special rate on insurance is exactly the kind of thing a sizeable club like LCUSA can achieve.  Does anyone have time to make an official inquiry to Haggerty?  If you tell them we have 500+ members, each with 1-5 scoots on average, they may cut us a group deal. THis may not help the minority of our members whose primary transportation is their Lambretta.

Thats a very smart idea Jambretta.

I am one the minority that use their bikes for work but im sure i could claim one as my "daily work" and the more "valuable" one as the Haggerty.

Currently i'm with Geico for my cars and bikes. No real complaints.
